Gene Wilder Quotes

“That’s all I wanted: for someone to look at me and listen to me, but in some beautiful and artistic way.”

“There’s so many Hollywood people, and I’m not one of them. I’m not from Hollywood, and I’m also not one of the people who wants to do a tell-all, and I hate tell-alls. I didn’t want to tell all.”

“You’re fooled by the applause into thinking that they love me, they really, really love me. Actors fall into this trap if they missed being loved for who they really were and not for what they could do.”

“But Charlie, don’t forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he always wanted… He lived happily ever after.” (“Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory”)

Think for Yourself

Think for yourself.  Such a simple concept, but rarely followed.

When there is a tragedy, do you go to Facebook to find out how you should react or feel?

When someone you “follow” on social media says something, do you lap it up without even looking in the bowl first?

Take time to stop and evaluate and ask yourself, “Is this how I feel or think? Or, is this the way I’m being told I should think?”

Changes everything.

Every Day is Different

No two days are alike.

Frequently, it feels like we’re living the same day over and over again.

You could be left in the cycle you’re in to learn something. Patience? Kindness?

Possibly another skill altogether. Or, it could just be a rut.
